Hello Joe,
Can you tell me please, what types of troubleshooting steps have you performed during the screen reset? Did you open the laptop lid and change screen or did you replace the inverter tube/cable?
You could try pulling out the battery and the power cable and holding the power button for about a minute? I am suggesting this in order to get drained the electricity from the motherboard. After that, plug the power cord and the battery back in and try to boot your laptop.
Let me know the results of the test.
