Is this one of the older ones that has a little switch on it? If it is, hit the little switch and that should disable write protection.

Hi Sree,
I agree that you should search for some small switch on the pendrive with locks the drive’s formatting. Some models have those. If your pendrive does not have such a button and you have tested many ways to format it, try using a Linux OS. You may be able to format the drive, but have in mind that the device may have been damaged. If so, there may be a problem with all the data you plan to store on it.
