Hi Bamaguy47,
I am sorry for any inconveniency caused by your My Passport drive. I would recommend you to check the device on another PC. Does the same problem appear? If no, back on your PC, open Device Manager and search for the drive, under USB devices. Uninstall it, restart the PC and plug the drive back in. I would also recommend you to open Control Panel and put the Power Options on High Performance.
