                    Hello Anand_25,
Please, share what model of WD drive have you got. What kind of steps have you performed to format the drive? Did you make a full erase or just quick format? If you have wiped everything out, you will need to initialize the external WD drive. You can do that by going to the Disk management menu under the Computer management option. If see an unallocated space the, try to assign a drive letter to it by making a right click on the box. My advice is to give a letter bigger than M.
