Have you experienced any problems with your laptop, prior to this issue? Do you get any errors? Do you have data on your drive which you wish to recover?
Basically it could be a corrupted Windows installation, which you might be able to fix by using your installation media (Windows DVD/USB).
However, I'd advise you to try the HDD with a different computer (if taking it out of the laptop, won't void the warranty), to see if you'd be able to recover your data and test the drive for errors and bad sectors, by downloading its manufacturer's diagnostic tool.
