Seagate hard disk got slow and some of folders do not open

Hello,
i have a Seagate external hard disk its working fine but recently it got slow and some of folders are not opening and if i connect the HD to system its getting hanged and i tried that chkdsk /f r: its showing cannot be direct access help me guys

Hi Rahul,
It was a good idea to use the chkdsk command. Please try again typing:
Chkdsk F: /r
F must be the drive letter of the drive. Furthermore, test the drive on another PC and with another USB cable. If the situation is the same, download the drive manufacturer’s diagnostic tool. Backup all important data and do complete drive check. If the drive appears at risk and is currently under warranty, contact the seller.
