Hi erk,
So right now you are not able to turn on the laptop and you are using only the power cable? Please check with another cable. If the problem persists, disconnect battery and power cable and hold the power button for 20 seconds. Reconnect the cable and try to boot again. If nothing happens there may be power related issue or a motherboard problem. You should consult a technician. There may be some power coming from the power cable but it may not be enough to run the PC.
