Laptop is not connecting to wifi

Hello
Pls my acer laptop is not connecting to wifi. Instead of d wifi symbol showing at d bottom right, m seeing a pc sign with a cable. If I want to share network to my laptop it won't work . Pls help

Reboot Your pc and Your wireless Router. if you still cannot connect a computer or device, reboot it. This step sounds simple, however your router, your pc's c084d04ddacadd4b971ae3d98fecfb2a adapter, or your operating device may have a software or firmware trouble that a simple reboot might fix.
