Hi Simiyu,
Could you tell me if your PC could read DVDs in the past? If so, there may be a driver issue, causing the problem. I would suggest you to open Device Manager and uninstall the DVD Rom. Restart the PC and wait for the drivers to be automatically reinstalled. Check if the DVDs are going to work. Open the device manufacturer’s web page and check for some product specific solutions.
