Can´t hear any sound!! Closed

Question

Hello, i got a big problem!
I´ve got a realtek onboard-soundcard and i have installed the newest driver ac´97.
But I cant hear any sound! I checked the hardware manager of xp, but theres no
sound-device! I even tried to install the drivers with windows, but it asks always for
a file which id never had!
Please help me!

Hello there... the driver you just installed isnt compatible with your onboard soundcard!

You have to get the right driver, if you have the motherboard CD, try to install the original driver again

mhhhm.... maybe i need the original cd of the ac 97 driver...
windows always asks for it
