Maybe you use some iOS File Manager program to help you transfer itunes music files to iPod touch 4. It can help us transfer data between iOS device and computer via USB Cable. Just search the details online.

The following eight ways may help you to fix it.
1. Make sure you're using the latest version of iTunes. (The first thing you should check when using iTunes)
2. Check whether the USB and ports are working properly or not

4. Re-Authorize iTunes & the Computer
1)“Store” -->“Deauthorize this computer”
2)“Store”-->“Authorize This Computer”--> type in your credentials-->choose “Authorize”.

7. Restart your computer (It seems to be a good idea sometime.)
8. Restore iPod
1)Create a backup
2)Settings-->General--> “Erase All Content and Settings”
