Lost my sound on laptop

Hello, I uninstalled sound max from my computer and now don't have any sound at all on my laptop.
How can I get the sound back on my computer?
What free program can I download other than sound max?

hi.
you need to install your sound drivers. right click to "my computer" find device manager and refresh.
