Face Book hacked/and someone is using my information

Hello,
Someone opened a new face book account using an old picture and my name but changed my DOB, face book hasn't been any help, sure hope you can help me get it closed. I have been told that I might want to add that person to my friends as we share several friends----imagine my surprise to see my picture.
