DVD/cd missing

Hello,

I have followed the process of regedit up to the end and I have deleted the upper left, for the first time my dvd/cd showed up on my computer and I was happy but later on it disappeared again, and I tried to follow the process but there is no upper left or lower left to be deleted I am stuck here and don't know what to do, my computer it asus.

You should not have to hack the registry. Have you verified the drivers are all up to date? Help us help you by telling us what OS is this?
