Apologies for any misunderstanding.When trying to start my Sony vaio laptop the 3 green lights illuminate but won't go out,hence no laptop,I would be grateful for any advice anyone can offer

Try this

1. Remove the battery and cable.

2. Press and hold the power button for 58 seconds.

3. Replug and start.

If my previous suggestion did not work, I suggest you consult a qualified technician for a diagnosis.
