I downloaded the so-called FREE Microsoft Office 2010 Home and Business software and went into the installation process, but it is asking for the Product Key.

Where can I find that, please?

Thank you
Sorry Paul, but that was a mistake, it isn't free. However, if you wish a free office software similar to MS, I recommend this one

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your response, however I was mislead by the CCM website which offered a FREE download of MS Office 2010. I currently use 2007 which will no longer be supported beyond 2017 so I need to upgrade, but my laptop will not take anything later than 2010. I will go ahead and purchase a copy

Hi Paul,

Nothing later than 2010 ! Not even 2013 ? How come ?

P.S. Upgrades are cheaper than the entire suite.

Thank you

My laptop is nearly 10 yrs old and its OS is Vista Basic - hence the incompatibility with Office after 2010, whereas my PC's OS is Windows 10. Because I am constantly transferring complicated Excel spreadsheets between my PC and laptop and thence to more modern PCs in an organisation for which I act as Treasurer, I have to ensure compatibility between the spreadsheet software in each device.

Further research is leading me in the direction of purchasing a new Laptop so that I can install Office 2016 on both to ensure that there are no clashes when moving the data around
