Hello,

Yesterday, I accidentally dropped my laptop, (HP 15ay026nf), and, when rebooting it, I got a message telling me that the hard disk (Toshiba MQ01ABD100) was Lock.
This morning, after rebooting it, I no longer got the above message but a new one telling "Boot device not found please install an operating system on your hard disk".
Following the HP troubleshooting, I tried to reset BIOS settings to default, and disassemble the laptop to remove and put back in place the hard disk.
This did not solve the problem.
The strange thing is, when entering the BIOS, in the boot order section, there is a "OS boot manager" in first choice. By pressing enter, I got some informations : "Windows boot manager Toshiba MQ01ABD100).

I'm lost and got no clues what to do next. I don't get where the problem is coming from. Is the Hard disk dead ? Why does the laptop detect it but cannot boot on the Windows OS found ?

Thanks for your help !

Problem solved, changed the hard drive. It probably died during the fall.
