Hi!

Unfortunately I have forgotten my administrator password, so now I cannot install any software on my laptop. I am thinking of two possibilities - either a command while the PC is on or to fully pre-installed it and keep some files. My questions are:

- Do you think any of the two are possible without having to fill in the Administrator password?
- What is the easiest way to fix this problem?

I'd be happy to read what your suggestions are.

Hi,

Are you able to right click start > Comand Prompt (Admin) does this open up?

Does it say Comand Prompt (Admin) at the top of the black box?

if it does, then you're in luck.

type the following:

net user administrator Hello1234! Press Enter

This will change your administrator password to Hello1234!

If this works you will see a message saying the command has been successful.

If the administrator account is disabled (Which in most cases it is by default) you will need to enable it.

type the following:

net user administrator /active:yes
Press Enter
