Cant see hiddent folder

Hello,
frnds...
i have still prob with hiddent file i used this method but i cant see my hident file or follder
(Go to Start --> Run, then type Regedit
2. Navigate to the registry folder HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\
CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHO WALL
3. Find a key called CheckedValue.
4. Double Click CheckedValue key and modify it to 1. but after close regedit window

than the checked value is turn in 0 and i cant see the hiddent file the above trick dose't work so can u plz tel me any other trick or method plz...
