Remote Access issues

Hello, I'm 5'10, I have brown hair, green eyes and I like long walks on the beach.

Regardless, I seem to be having an issue connecting to my remote access. Excuse me if it's been asked a thousand times.

I'm using Windows XP on this labtop, and trying to connect to a desktop using Windows Vista Extreme Edition. I open up remote access on the labtop and it brings me to a screen where I can choose a user from the desktop. So I click on the one I want, and it asks for a password, but I don't have a password set on my desktop. So I set one, restart both the desktop and labtop and still no luck.

I can't seem to find an answer, or know what I'm doing wrong. I have the Remote port (3389 TCP) opened up on both computers, and both have remote access turned on.

Any insight would be great.

I figured it out. To anyone in the future with this question, connect to the other computer using your IP address instead of the actual computer name. It will allow you to connect with or without a password set.
