Windows defender and avg

my laptop has windows defender and avg running on it, unfortunately i think they are conflicting with each other, as altho i can do a system scan on windows defender I cannot on avg. is it ok to remove windows defender and will my avg then run normally. I have the newest free avg thankyou

Allo Pauline,

Yes, it is perfectly correct to disable Windows Defender. I have it but never used it.

However if you AVG does not provide you with a Firewall, ensure that Windows' firewall is activated.
