Usb device not recognized

i have window xp sevice pack 2, from six month ago i put my transcend pendrive 4 gb in freind pc. from thatday to started problem when i insert usb pen drive in any pc not detect. one message is come on screen usb device not recognized? and when double click on message then message appear one of the USB DEVICE ATTACHED TO THIS COMPUTER HAS MALFUNCTIONED ,AND WINDOW DOES NOT RECOGNIZED IT.
ple tell me WHAT I DO?
