Internet stops after some time downloading

Hello,
i am mayank! i am having a laptop (Compaq nx6110). i recently installed windows xp service pack 3. when i use the net through my tata plug-in modem or through mobile, after connecting the net the internet stops working after some time, but the downloading doesn't stops. the browser shows LOOKING UP FOR THE WEBSITE, CONNECTING TO THE WEBSITE, CONNECTED TO THE WEBSITE AND THEN DONE. nothing appears on the screen. but the downloading continues and sometime the browser doesn't load anything. PLZ HELP ME OUT !
Before i installed the windows, i was having windows xp SP2 and i was using the same drivers for it. before also i was having the same problem so thats y i reinstalled the windows

Hi there,

The download is interrupted since the server is not responding you need to restart the download,you should make use of a download manager so that after you can resume your download from where its been stopped,get idm as download manager on the link below:

https://ccm.net/downloads/internet/4791-internet-download-manager/
