Accessing data from a pc which wont boot-up ?Closed

Hello, 

I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop which wont start-up properly.  It runs the Startup Repair process but never finishes.  Any advice ?

I suspect I'm going to need to do a full system restore but want to access that data prior to trying this.  It's my daughter's laptop and not backed up.  Any advice on how to do this would be appreciated ?

remove drive, install it into an external 2.5" USB/Firewire case and attach
to another comp to extract data.

I agree with snowghost for data retrieval,and for the issue you need to make a system repair by booting from installation cd of windows,further instructions on link below:
