Hello,

i dont kno whats wrong with myflash drive.i conected it in my computer and it had all my pictures and documents.then i also conected it to my friend's computer to shoe her something.after somtime i conected it again on my personal computer and out of nowhere all my folders turned into shortcuts.i am not able to open or explore any of my folders.if i do so, a message comes up saying that - "the item **.exe that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved,so this shortcut will not work properly.do you want to delete this shortcut?"
i didn't even make any shortcut for any folder.moreover, when i am checking for disk space my flash space is just like it was previously 3.1GB (its a 4 GB falsh).so this means that my pictures ,songs and documents are all on the flash as the space is too less like before.
how did all my files change into these shortcuts? i had really important documents and memorable pictures in my flash which i am not able to access now.
PLZ HELP...WHAT SHOULD I DO???? M SO UPSET!

Hello,

If you did not format your flash drive, then check whether the files are not in

hidden mode. Follow the following steps.

Step 1:

Click on the below link and download the file "AutorunExterminator"

https://ccm.net/downloads/security-and-maintenance/5911-autorun-exterminator/

Extract it --> Double-click on "AutorunExterminator" --> Plug your flash drive now.

This will remove the autorun.inf files from your flash drive and also from drives.

Step 2:

Click on "Start" -->Run --> type cmd and click on OK.

Here I assume your flash drive letter as G:

Enter this command.

attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*

You can copy the above command --> Right-click in the Command Prompt and

paste it.

Note : Don't forget to replace the letter g with your flash drive letter.

Now press "Enter".

Now check for your files in Flash Drive.

Step 3:

After that, download the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from the below link

https://ccm.net/downloads/security-and-maintenance/4621-malwarebytes-anti-malware/

Update it --> Perform "Full Scan"

Note : Default selected option is "Quick Scan".

Good Luck.
