Tv turns off and on when using hdmi cable

Hello,
i use my playstation with a hdmi cable and when I play game the tv will keep turning off and on, same thing happens when I plug my laptop into my tv with a hdmi cable. any ideas on how to solve this problem, thanks

try using a different monitor for the ps3 with the hdmi and see if it does same thing to that..if so check ur settings on the ps3..or check the manual for the tv and find its maximum video output..or maybe jus try a different cable
