Hello, I've seen another person asking a similiar question but the problem wasn't the same and none of the solutions helped. My CD-rom doesn't respond, when I press the button to open it, it doesn't do anything, the light that should be glowing doesn't glow and when I went to "Device Manager" like somebody told me to, I didn't find my CD-rom in there, I only found virtual ones made by using deamon tools. I don't understand if it's a system problem or if the CD-rom is damaged. Please help!

This is nothing to do with registry tricks

This is a hardware issue.Try to rewire your CD/DVD drive and see if its a loose connection else problem may be with the drive.
