Hi was wondering if anybody can help me please. I am trying to log into my Hotmail account, when I do so I get the message saying " It looks like somebody else might be using your account". I follow the steps that they ask, but when I hit next after typing the last 4 digits of my telephone number, its says that there is a temporary problem and try again later, which I have been trying to do for the last week!!! I called Microsoft and they said that they cannot help me, but to read up on it on the forums, which I have done but with no success. Can anybody help me with this problem. Many thanks in advance Fiona

Hotmail has now been replaced by Outlook so Hotmail is now Outlook and your Hotmail account should work in Outlook.

See if this page will help you recover your account:

Also, I suspect that your computer is not safe against intrusions.

Thanks for your help Ambucias, but unfortunately I have tried all what you suggested to no avail. I have also tried outlook and try logging on that way but I still get the message that somebody else is using my account. I have since tried to change my password on my Hotmail account, but still nothing

If I were in your position, I would first delete all of my temporary files and cookies. Wait till the morning and try again.

Since Hotmail changed to Outlook it is more difficult to contact them or to get issues solved through their robot. Of course, with the number of user, they ensure you cannot contact someone directly.
