Hello, Somebody recently attempted 5 times incorrectly to unlock MY PASSPORT ULTRA 2TB wd hard drive and now my hard drive shows no files and I don't even get the option to insert my password. When I try to open the unlock software it does not ask password and says your hard drive is unlocked and it show an empty drive. Anyone knows how I get my files back? Thank You.

Hi Ibrahim,

I am sorry for any inconveniency caused by your WD hard drive. Sadly, five incorrect attempts may lead to a restore factory settings message. You should have the options to erase the drive and continue using it as a brand new. Have you seen this message? Did you click on the Erase Drive button? Please follow the link below to get more details about the message. See page 54.

When you get to Disk Management, can you see some capacity been occupied?

Unfortunately, if the data has been erased, only Data Recovery Company may be able to assist you getting your data back. If you like, try using some data recovery tools in order to save some information, but have in mind that any intensive drive usage may make future professional recovery attempts even harder. I hope you will get your data back!
