AIMP is a popular audio player which supports many audio formats and that allows users to quickly manage their playlists and the software’s interface. In this article, we discuss some of the media player’s key features, as well as some additional information.

Key Features

Here are some of the main features of the AIMP player:

  • Supported Formats: AIMP player supports a variety of formats, the most famous ones including MP3, WMA, OGG, WAV, M4A, OGG, and many more.

  • Sound Engine: The sound engine has 18 bands equalizer with effects (Chorus, flanger, echo, and reverb amongst others), as well as mixing options such as Fade In/Fade Out, Cross-mixing, and Pause between tracks.

  • Music Library: This feature allows users to organize their library, as well as their playlists. They can also set marks for listened tracks.

  • Audio Converter: Another feature of AIMP is the audio conversion. There is also the possibility to encode to APE, MP3, FLAC, OGG, WAV, WMA, OPUS, MusePack, and WavPack formats.

Is AIMP Safe?

A vulnerability in AIMP was rumored in 2009 (version 2.51 build 330). Back in 2013 the developers have warned users about a fraudulent website with a similar name asking for donations.

As always, we recommend reading the official Privacy policy before installing the AIMP Music Player. In general, it seems as safe as any other media player.
