Error 492 on the PlayStore

Sometimes while updating or downloading apps from the Google Play Store, users are met with an error message that reads, “App could not be downloaded due to an error. (492)”. This error occurs when data stored in Google Play Store's cache becomes corrupt. It can be resolved by cleaning up the cache of the Play Store.

How To Fix the Play store Error 492

Go to Apps > Settings > Manage Apps > All Apps. Tap on Google Play Store > Clear Cache & Data. Head back to the All Apps menu and tap on Google Play Services > Clear Cache & Data.

Once done, open the Play Store and try to download/update your apps again.
