Acer travelmate. 2480 not turning on

Hello,
I have a travelmate 2480. It's not powering on. Neither is there any light wen i plug in there charger. I notice there is a feedback in the charger wen i plug it in the computer. The light on the charger goes out. Does this mean that the mother board as fail?

Beeping, or flashing lights mean MB is bad. Can the battery be taken out? Have you tried the battery trick? Let us know!

Well that's the thing . I'm getting no light or beep at all on the computer to indicate that I'm getting power. But I do know that it is affecting any charger I plug into it

OK, unplug the power cord, and separate it into two parts. Set it aside.

Open the laptop lid, and hold down the power button for a minute (60 seconds, yes count them out!).

Now, put the battery back in, and re-assemble the power cord. Plug the cord into the wall, then into the Laptop. Now try to power on the laptop once the cord is connected into it.

tried that. But the result is still the same. I think there is some thing wrong with the board .think am going to bring it to a tech. For final confirmation. Thanks alot
