Windows failed to start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause? launch startup repair and windows failed to start. next step was to insert windows installation disc which is or has been lost or misplaced. Now looking for one here to download free?

No such animal for download. Did you make a recovery disk? That is what they are referring to. Each recovery disk is unique to the computer it is to recover. If you did not make one, then you must take your machine to a technician.
