My laptop won’t turn on

Hello,

I don’t know a thing about laptops. Mine has not let me turn on no matter how much I try. The light that’s on when I use it is on, but the Caps lock key light is blinking (it doesn’t normally do that). Whenever I do manage to get it back up, I use it for about a minute an it turns off with this weird display (like static) and the blinking caps lock key light happens again and I can’t turn it on. This has happened to me before but I managed to fix it and it worked afterwards, but I don’t remember what I did. (The only thing I know about this laptop is that it’s HP, and a sticker in the laptop says “HP Notebook”, if that’s important)
