Hello,
Recently I bought one new HCL C2D Laptop with 160GB SATA HDD with PHOENIX BIOS ,In BIOS I change the SATA0 Mode as IDE/AHCI/Disable but even after it is not detecting HDD during WINXP Installation.
When I am loading the XP by selecting AHCI MODE ,it is giving Hardware Error during instalation of XP.
Is any need to SATA Driver for the LAPTOP ?
If any driver needed then where I get the driver ?

Hello you should change the SATA operation to IDE, i think you disable it... this is quite normal that you won't be able to install XP on the hard drive

Set the SATA priority to IDE!
