Inspiron 1545 laptop upgraded the memory BSOD

I upgraded the memory from 4gb to 8gb and my system went nuts. First it would go to blue screen and say i needed to restart. Then i got tons of memory error messages. I went back to 4gb and alls well.I bought the memory from amazon and the seller claims it is the right memory and they test all memory before it ships.Also it is suppose to be new. Any ideas?

Demand your money back. It doesn't matter if the seller says the memory should work. If it doesn't work then it needs to be replaced or a refund given.
