Starting problems of desktop

Hello,
My power button is working amps fan is moving still it is not starting. One thing I must say hdd light is not on when I press the power switch.

Pls suggest....

Disconnect the POWER CABLE ONLY to the Drive, and leave the other cable attached. Try to boot. What is the indication now?
