i have acer travel mate 4740. when i start laptop at day 1st time it just open acer logo Not going to win .
or sometimes f2 or f12 press . its just sowing "entering f2" BT ITS hang .
some min it go f2/f12 option . after 1 hr win 7 start. after that no issue. but when i start laptop in 2ed day same problem show.

perhaps you have a failing hard disk. Isn't that laptop about 10 years old?
