Hard drive not detecting when used to connect sata

Hello,
I used to repair computer services . I purchased SATA to USB connector cable as I oftenly to check verious HDD devices.
But it not working on my PC. When rechecked at shop owner it shows any HDD very quickly. My all hard drives are OK . Why this ?? How to resolve??

It's probably your computer's USB drivers. I suggest you update them to the latest versions.
