HP Laptop plain blue screen

Hello,

I am experiencing start-up difficulties with my laptop. After I enter my password on the lock screen, I go straight to a blue screen instead of the desktop screen (It’s a plain blue screen) I have tried turning it off and turning it back on, but that doesn’t work. Can anyone help me with this?
