Hello,
My external hard drive cant be opened it says corrupted and unreadable . I don't want to format it as it contains valuable data. Any idea how to recover my data or fix this issue. I have tried cmd chkdsk it doesn't work. The hard drive is 1 Tb.
Also my hard drive is bitlocker protected and eventhough it is unlocked in my pc some data recovery softwares say they cant access it.

I think is already late for my answer, but still)) Maybe that will help you or someone else in the future.
You can use Disk Management to open your external hdd. Disk Management -> select external hdd -> open. or Disk Management -> select external hdd -> mark partition active. you can read detailed about that method here https://www.diskinternals.com/partition-recovery/revive-your-laptop-hard-drive-with-recovery-tips/

It certainly looks like your HD is damaged.

Usually damaged HD's cannot be repaired.
You HD may be still under warranty, I trust that you registered your product.
I recommend that your contact Silicon Power for support, here is the address:

Good luck
