It is the same. Get the netwlix app on the tv and log in. Perhaps you may need a streaming media device such as ROKU or a Firestick. Many new Blueray players have streaming apps built in. Look for the netflix symbol on the box!

ac3mark is right. You'll need a media box for that if you want to actually use your tv for the sign up. But I find that much of a hassle since typing on TV isn't that fast (for me) even with the Smart TV app. I use DirecTV by the way. So what I would suggest is you signup to Netflix using your laptop and then just connect it to the TV. If you want a detailed instructions to do that, come back, we can help.
