Restoring Sony Vaio to Factory Settings

Hi! I followed your directions on how to set Sony windows vista to factory settings and everything worked but then it wanted to install some programs and then asked for a recovery disk. It gives me the option to enter a disk , brows, or cancel. How do I get through without the recovery disk? Thank you so much!!

I don't recall giving you any directions. What would they have been?

Not to me someone else that I read on this website.
You were saying when you boot the laptop press F10 and ALT at the same time as many times before the VAIO comes up on screen then you press Enter when the black and white screen comes up and you can follow the settings from there. I just looked back at that answer and it was 4 years ago so I apologize ! LoL
