Sound interrupted when using other applicatio

Hello,
when ever i work with some files my sound get corrupted and when i close that application it again become good what is the problem i can't understand is it with memory problems or with my sound driver as i m using 256 mb ram so it might be a problem and the driver i have taken from intel

i have i865 g chipset so if it is a problem of driver then pleaz let me know from where i could get the correct driver....

Hi,
please give me more information about your sound driver and give me your motherboard model number.

i have 8i865gvmk/gvk and now i m using RIAC so it generates itself the sound driver otherwise i use to take the driver from intel sight.
my chip set no is i865g ....if u need some other information then u must reply...thanks ..
