External Hard Drive not recognized

Hello,
My name is Biniyam Demeke. I a problem on my external hard drive. It doesn't appear and have no sound at all. I have checked everything in device mgt and disk mgt. But it doesn't work. The problem has come with only when I tried to use my hard disk with another computer. Within a second it stopped working. Anyone with the solution, please drop here.

can you try using a different cable?
