Headset not detected

Hello,
I’ve had my pc for quite a while now and haven’t had this issue before. Now when I plug in my headset they do not work and don’t show any signs of even being plugged in. Any suggestions are Appreciated.

USB set or Standard audio cable? Is this the same headphones you have always used?

Yes it’s the same headset I’ve always used and it connected to my pc via a aux splitter which I’m guessing is a standard audio cable

Its possible there is dust in the port, or some other debris that is blocking the physical connection from happening. Is there more than one? Is there one in front and one in back (typically there is)?

It’s possible but I tried it in the front aswell and still the same issue so don’t think it’s that

If using both ports returns the the same result, then you need to check the psychical connections within the BOX. Take it to a technician.
