The problem could be the video card, replace it. it could also have a broken backlight, if that is the case, replace the whole display lid as the it is a pain installing justbthe backlight (if it isnt already one componant). Try hooking up an external montior, press windows key +p, does anything display on the external? If no, the card is not producing an output.
