Power indicator blinking, do I have to worry?

Hello,
Since 2017-2018, the battery of my laptop hasn't been charging. This wasn't a problem for me since I can continue to work by just leaving it connected to the charger. This July, I didn't use it, so I disconnected it from the charger. Now I'm back to using it and plugging it back in (I cannot work with the computer if it is not plugged in), but I just noticed that the white light is blinking...
When I shutdown the laptop, it stops blinking.
Is that a risk? Is that a warning signal or is it going to be damaged?

Or should I get a new battery or can I just ignore it without any problem? At the moment, everything is normal, it's just that the light doesn't stop blinking when using the device, I think it's because the battery is stick into 0%? What should I do?
