How do i change my public (external) IP address? I connect to wifi via router. I have static IP address. I dont wanna change IP address of only one device, but the address on which all my devices connect. Do I have to contact my provider because of that or can I change it somehow by myself?

Hi,

It is possible to change the IP address of your router. First of all, type the following address in your Web browser: 192.168.0.1 -- You may be prompted to enter your username and password to access your router's control panel.

Next, in the network settings, you'll find the current IP address of your router, and you may be able to change the last one, or, two numbers of the IP address. Once done, save the changes. Please note that if you want to change the entire IP address, you may need to contact your ISP.

Hi, what do you mean by entire IP address? Does the method that you wrote change IP address of only that device?

I mean if you want to change for example the IP address 192.168.0.0 to 172.16.0.0 or 10.0.0.0. But if you change the last number of the IP address (192.168.0.0 to 192.168.0.1) it will only affect your router, so you need to change the last two numbers of the IP address (192.168.0.0 to 192.168.1.1) for the change to take effect to all devices connected to your router. Once done, restart your devices to take the change into account.
