Strange message appears while typing message on whatsapp Closed

Hello, 

I have been using whatsapp for several years. Recently, since April, I find a new phenomenon while sending messages. While typing messages to anybody including groups the screen displays  the following message "syncing..." I checked whether syncing is turned on in my account but found it is turned off. I am unable to understand what is the messages get synced to? I am suspicious that someone is eavesdropping but cannot figure out how. 

Can somebody tell me what could be the reason and why all on a sudden it started. I am using a Samsung phone.

Is your WhatsApp account connected to multiple devices? For example on your mobile phone and on WhatsApp Web? If so, "syncing" means that your messages are synchronized with your devices.

Thanks for the reply. I will check that. However, I did not find that happening in my friend's phone. What I mean to say is that my friend is also connected to the whatsapp web but when he types messages with whatsapp web on, such message is not displayed. That is what is bothering me.

No. My Phone is Samsung make and my friend's is Redmi
